The economy is being blamed for yet another casualty, Paris Hilton’s My New BFF will be back this summer, however, it will lack the amount of glitz and glam that it previously contained. MTV decided to bring the show back but has made some cuts in the shows expenditures. Contestants competing for the prestigious Hilton’s friendship will still be living in a mansion, but it will be one that costs half as much as last season’s mansion—Oh those poor girls and guys having to slum it. Gone are also the trips to New York and Tokyo that last year’s contestants enjoyed. The budget for the show has been cut by 10 percent. Whatever the case may be, I am sure the drama that goes on in the house will be 100 percent crazy as kids go all out to win the coveted role as Paris’s new bff.
Paris has been talking around town about her newest boyfriend Doug Reinhardt. Apparently the couple has been talking about taking their relationship to the next level–no not moving in together, the biggie–marriage! Yes, that’s right, Paris has been quoted as saying that Doug is “going to be [her] husband”. No offense Paris, but we have heard this one before. Is she exaggerating? Is this really being talked about by both parties? I wouldn’t blame Doug for wanting to attach himself to her–heiress of her family fortune and such, but I fear poor Doug will end up just another statistic. Perhaps he really does love the blonde bombshell, they do have a lot of things in common and share the same interests. Maybe this could be the real deal. Sources close to the couple say that Paris is not exaggerating:. They claim that: “Right now, they are thinking about a summer wedding, maybe August, in the Bahamas” . The couple has known each other for almost a year now, although only dating about 3 months. Well, we don’t have very long to wait for the answer to this nystery–summer is just around the bend.
March 4, 2009: Paris Hilton was spotted smooching with Lauren Conrad’s ex-boyfriend “Doug”. Apparently the two attended a birthday dinner for Whitney Port ( a good friend of Lauren’s as you know) at STK restaurant. After STK the pair headed over to My House nightclub where they continued to hang out. As they left the night club cameras caught the two making out in the back seat of the car. You may remember that after Lauren broke things off with Doug he began to work his magic on Stephanie Pratt (sister to the infamous Spencer Pratt of The Hills). The two supposedly parted ways before completely screwing Lauren over. Be careful Paris, He’s cute but he has that roving eye.
According to the Boston Herald, Paris Hilton picked up three Razzie awards for her recent on-screen performances. The Razzie awards, you may know, pick out the worst performances in film each year and then bestow the Razzies on the worst of the worst. Poor Paris, she picked up three this year one of which was for Worst Actressfor her work in “The Hottie and the Nottie” and also Worst Supporting Actrressfor her role in “Repo! The Genetic Opera.” The last award she won was for Worst Screen Couplewhich she shares with her “Hottie” co-stars, Christine Lakin and Joel David Moore . According to a post I found on a site called STUFF.co.nz Katy Perry wants to go on the record stating that she and Paris Hilton’s ex boyfriend and Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden are not hooking up. The spunky Katy wrote the following response to the circulating rumors on her blog: ”It’s two pseudo famous people sitting next to each other…doesn’t mean we were bumping uglies! You know that I don’t just do that with anyone.” She continued to say that she has no time for anyone but her cat and that the night in question she was out with a group of 25 friends, one of which was Benji Madden. I don’t imagine that Paris would be too hurt or bothered by the rumors anyway especially given that during her birthday bash she was once again snuggling up to one of her other ex boyfriends and having a great time with her family and friends. She has seemingly moved on.
Paris Hilton turned 28 this week. The heiress/socialite’s birthday bash was held at Butter, a New York nightclub on Monday night. The nighclub was decked out in shades of pink and all of Paris’s closest friends and family were at her side. She was presented with a three-tiered hot pink birthday cake which was trimmed in gold with lit sparklers for that added touch. The birthday girl, although, not currently linked to any young man in particular was said to have been “shamelessly flirting with her ex-boyfrined Stavros Niarchos” and the two were rumored to have been touchy feely with each other the whole night.
Tonight on MTV, PARIS will reveal her new BFF. Who will it be Vanessa (fake) or Brittney (lesser of the fakes). Personally, neither of them would have been my pick. I liked the nice, quiet shy girl, but we all know that a girl like that would never survive the trials and tribulations that go hand in hand with Paris’s lifestyle. I must say, I scoffed at the idea of this show when I first saw it advertised on MTV but I tuned in anyway. Is it a great show? No, not particularly. It is “watchable” however, and I have tuned in for quite a few of the episodes. Who was craziest? Um, can’t name one in particular–quite a few of them were borderline nutjobs but Onch was the most entertaining to me. I was sort of sad to see Onch go. I loved when he took his Bare Minerals make-up off to reveal his true self—THAT WAS CLASSIC! I also loved how he said he wanted to take off the makeup because best friends do that at sleep overs. Another great episode was the visit from Perez Hilton–he is a riot. So here I am waiting for Paris to announce her choice. She took both gals to NY. Brittney was taken on a helicopter ride and to a high end clothing store and was treated to a $1,000 sundae. Vanessa was taken to lunch, bought a BFF ring and also a best friends day at the spa. Both girls when recounting their days to the opposition were green with envy. But somehow, Vanessa just always came off so evil to me. I just don’t trust her. Finally she is going to announce her BFF. Why she has them all dressed up in these strange dresses with their hair all done up as if they were in a period piece I don’t know, but here it goes. Please be Brittney… Please be Brittney. Paris just left the scene and said she couldn’t make the announcement. Hmm… maybe two bffs? Maybe neither. They are re-newing the show from what I have heard. There is still 10 minutes left so lets see what she comes back with. The girls were both driven to a location. It is some sort of hotel. Brittney goes in first and it is a masquerade party. Paris tells her she won’t be joining her in “her” life. CUTS to Vanessa in the hotel room who is reading a note saying she is not the bff. OUCH! A DEAR JANE LETTER! That was harsh, but better to be alone and embarrassed than in a room with party guests right? Camera goes back to the party and there Paris is finishing her statement. You can’t join me in my life… you can join me in ours: You are my new BFF! Are you ready for a crazy life? So ladies and gentlemen, there we have it. Paris has chosen her new bff and Brittney has now won the role of a lifetime. Look for her new album to hit stores featuring Paris soon… it is of course inevitable! Have a great night!
I found this little bit of trivia via Good Morning America last week and thought it was “Hot” enough to pass on here. A new world record was set last week in The Netherlands when 4,345,027 dominoes set up with the greatest of precision and in intricate patterns toppled at the most recent edition of “Domino Day”. In all, 4,500,000 dominoes were set to topple and 154973 dominoes still remained standing, but that wasn’t enough to prevent the record from being set, nor did it affect the display much at all. The previous domino record was 4,079,381 which was set in 2006. Reportedly, it took 8 weeks to set up the dominoes and over two hours for the tumbling of the dominoes to be completed. The participants in the event were 85 school children from 13 European countries. Within the intricate placing of the dominoes were portraits of PARIS HILTON and missing and reward signs for her beloved dog. Just to show you the power of her celebrity, she was depicted with the iconic landmark elements of the Egyptian pyramids and famous personalities such as Nascar great Jeff Gordon and circus artist Salima Peippo who was hanging from ropes and set the dominoes in motion. There were also pics of various children of all nationalities, and moving matchbox cars. The set up was a great collection of people and places from popular culture and their choices were very interesting to say the least. Watch the video to see Paris revealed.
Now that Paris Hilton and Benji Madden have split due to “conflicting schedules and a lack of quality time to spend together”, I guess we will be seeing more of Paris out on the town with her BFFs. One can only speculate as to what really caused the riff between the two who seemed to fall in love at first sight when they met in February. One source (Page Six of The New York Post) sites the break-up as being the result of Paris being “fed up with being out of the spotlight” and ”desired to resume partying.” Funny, I didn’t notice any dimmer lights around the celebrity, did you? In fact, the flash of the cameras seemed to keep up with Paris and beau Benji. Whatever, the reason Paris, I say enjoy your youth and enjoy the perks that surround you. You are young and have so many great opportunities at your finger tips. Choose wisely and learn from your mistakes and everything should turn out well. Maybe they will offer Paris her own dating show on VH1. I am sure millions of guys will line up for the shot to date the heiress. |
